Friday Gratefulness //6

Friday Gratefulness. It’s been a while you good ol’ chap and it’s not because I haven’t had anything to be grateful for. It was only at noon today I realized it’s Friday. These days in between Christmas and New Years seem to have no week days. Do you know the feeling?

I’ve earlier written about not just appreciating big events but also the little things. Therefor every Friday I’ll be posting one or more things that I’m grateful for the following week. This I believe is the way forward to a happier every day.

My Christmas

I hope every one had a wonderful Christmas ? 🙂

As I previously mentioned our Christmas was a little different from our normal Christmases as I didn’t get to spend Christmas Eve (That’s when we celebrate, dancing around the Christmas Tree and stuff :p) with my siblings this year.

My parents are divorced so that probably already makes ours a little different compared to non-divorcees, but I like it and I normally get to celebrate two Christmases with my siblings and one with each parent. This Christmas was different as we we’re pretty much all split up, but none the less a great Christmas. I was lucky enough to spend it with my grandparents, my mum and stepdad and we had a brilliant time. I won the almond present (yep, that was directly translated from Danish Monkey-with-hand-in-front-of-eyes-emoji)!

I’m not sure you lovelies know about this tradition? But for those of you who don’t know. We eat Risalamande or Risengrød and in that, there’s one whole almond (with no skin). The one person who gets the almond has to show it to rest of the group and then win The Almond Presents – it’s normally some kind of sweet. When we were younger there was always ALWAYS cheating involved so no child would start crying haha, but this year being an only child for Christmas, there was no cheating. I won fair and square HA! Mum! 😀

It’s a bit of a strange tradition, I know. Do you have some strange traditions in your family or countries?

Now on to the next Christmas lunch! xx

Never Have I Ever..

We all know this game from school, but it’s been pretty long since you last gotten one of those personal posts. So here you go, here’s a few of the things I’ve never done.. There’s most probably loads more.

giphy

… Seen Star Wars, Breaking Bad or Stranger Things. I’ve never been good at things being hyped up, which I definitely think these shows has. It sort of has the opposite effect on me and therefor I don’t think I’ll ever watch them either. I’m not good with Sci-Fi either.

… Snapped my fingers. No matter how hard I try, the sound just wont follow.

… Been arrested. Okay that might be on the verge to extreme, let me try it the other way around. I’ve never done anything that I could be arrested for. I’ve always been known as the goody goody.

… Been to America, Asia, Australia – You know.. Basically haven’t been out of Europe.

… Ran more than 10 km in a row. I used to be quite the runner, but since moving to London I never really found the motivation to do so nor the right running path – any suggestions? I really want to beat those 10 km, but one step at the time right? Back in shape first.

… Donated blood, but I’m planning on doing so in the nearest future.

… Seen a lighthouse. It’s a strange thing, wanting to see a lighthouse but nonetheless it’s pretty high on my bucket list.

… Drunken Captain Morgan. I mean not since the last time I drank it and my mum had to pick me up from our student party, where I was sleeping at the principals office. I have never drunken Captain Morgan since then. Probably never will 🙂

… Been great at directions. Or geography to be honest.

What have you never done ?

We’re only just over halfway to Christmas Eve and we already have to think about New Years Eve. Whether you’re hosting the party, you’re going out in town or celebrating with your girls, it’s about time to get that New Years Eve outfit sorted.

I always find it difficult to figure out what to wear to the many Christmas parties in December, yet alone my NYE outfit, and I quite often spend hours finding the right outfit for that event.

NYE

ǀ Sequin Slip Dress* ǀ Turtle Neck* ǀ Sock Boots* ǀ Shoulder Bag* ǀ

NYE2

ǀ Velvet Jumpsuit* ǀ Clutch* ǀ Velvet Stilettos

Therefore, if it so happens that some of you girls might face the same challenges as me, I’ve put together a few awesome outfits to inspire you. I’m quite hooked on all the items and most definitely not mind wearing any of the outfits above. Do you have a favourite amongst the outfits?

15 Random Facts About Me

December is all about hygge and less about work, therefore I wrote 15 random things you (probably) don’t know about me.. Please feel free to add a few random facts about yourself in the comment section, so I don’t feel completely self-absorbed 🙂

..I’m pretty great with Paint and Photoshop. Can’t you tell? Jokes I’m a complete disaster and I’m highly considering taking a Photoshop Course.

..I always get extremely impressed by seeing massive lorries turning in inner city. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a lorry/pollution free city, but God DAMN they’re massive and the men(or women) driving them makes it all look easy peasy.

..I’m not a massive fan of Christmas food, I would quite frankly ratter skip the food and dig straight into the dessert. But I would pick an extra starter over dessert any day!

..I hate being late for appointments, whether it be with friends, doctors etc. I would much rather be an hour early than 5 minutes late. It basically stresses me out.

..If I had to choose, I would pick desert over rain forest… It’s mainly based on the amount of creepy crawlers and other animals. Let’s face it,  I would suck in I’m A Celeb! I’m fine with heights though.

..I’m generally quiet bothered by creepy crawlers. Especially spiders. Last time I saw a spider I got a massive bump on my forehead from running away from it whilst my mum catching it.

..I love the ocean, I pretty much grew up next to it. But you’ll never see me go for a swim in it, because of my fear for sharks, fish and other sea animals (I might have seen to many shark movies).

..I prefer Iced Coffee to hot coffee – but I’m a sucker for Vanilla Soy Latte. I spend way too much money on coffee in general, therefore I’ll follow a fellow bloggers footsteps, Gemma Talbot, and put the money I would normally spend on a cup of coffee, aside and at the end of the year I would have the money for a fancy handbag or nice holiday.

..I absolutely love Mondays. A new start. Every week. How awesome is that ?!

..If I receive a presents a few days before my birthday or Christmas. Then I’ll open it because I’m secretly like a little child who can’t wait.

..I love crime series, real life documentaries about investigations or made up ones. Don’t care, I’m a sucker for that stuff. As well as loving horror movies – I guess I’m thrill seeker and I love a good scare.

..I think it is incredibly uncomfortable to be vacuumed on the skin. Have you tried it?

..I love straws and I drink anything out of straws, if I have one nearby that is. Even for tap water.

..I am a language spinner, which we in Danish call language retard, directly translated haha – I think its quite fitting. It happens that I make up my own words and interpretations.

..I’m annoyingly indecisive when it comes to things, such as shopping and food, but on the other hand, I’m extremely spontaneous when it comes to travel and bigger things, such as moving or phones.

I apologize for the unintentional blog break there. Life has been busy and I’ve had a lot of pink on my mind and you all know what that means. Yup you got that right –  #PinkWednesday time:)

ǀMohair Wool-blend Coat * ǀ V-neck Tee * ǀ Faux Leather Trousers *ǀ Bead-Embellished BeanieCat Eye Shades * ǀ Sueded Trainers * ǀ

I would so love to wear this outfit. I have this thing with pink coats and this pink little Mango number is definitely top of the wish list. I’ve long been looking for a loose pair of faux leather trousers and I finally found the winner. They’re cheap too. I’m not a massive sneakers girl, but these dusty rose sueded trainers from Nike is to die for. Styled with a white tee, a beanie and some cool shades and you have the perfect winter outfit.

What do you think ?
