Last 5 goals for this year. Some have been heavier ones and mentally challenging and some quiet easy. But one thing’s for sure. It’s been so good for me to set these goals. Have you set any goals? Have you succeeded so far or given up?

.. Learn one new recipe a month!
I love cooking but I rarely find the time, having to juggle work, more work, gym and socializing. I also live with 4 other people with sort of limit my time in the kitchen. Cooking is basically the most important skill a man or woman should possess in order to actually survive, okay okay you can just buy food, but does that not come with other side-effects? Also it allows you to save up money, you’ll eat the food you love just the way you want it and it will impress your certain someone with lovely meals shared under candlelight. That went a bit of track sozz! 🙂 What I was saying is I do bloody love cooking and I like to experiment in the kitchen, but I don’t often have the time to get creative. This year I want to cook more, it will ad to my savings and my health and I want to learn one new recipe a month. If you have any good dishes please share in the comments!

.. I wanna learn from my mistakes and learn how to not fear failure!
Have you also made it a habit to look at all the things you didn’t manage to finish and tell yourself of for not finishing? Me too! And you might even stay later, like me, to finish it. I wanna do the opposite! Before leaving work or anything else, I instead want to look at all the things I actually managed to do and give my self some recognition. #stressnothankyou! Therefore I taught myself a little word of big importance. A small word which requires some getting use to in order to use it in your every day life. A little word that has helped me a lot. Being able to say “Whatever” or “fuck it” is not always easy, especially when being depressed or stressed in your everyday life, but it can be your turning point to learn to say those words and you’ll feel such a relief. I have been under a lot of pressure and stressed about both small and big things, and something that really has helped me is to say “fuck it all”. It taught me that I’m only a human being and taught me to control my inner critic, which is really my worst enemy. It told me to be better, run faster, be more effective and basically being a squid with only two arms. Impossible right? But I learned from that and I hope you will too. You’re not alone!

.. Be better at using ALL of the items I already have.
Be better at using my wardrobe to the fullest. My everyday wardrobe often rotates week after week and I often end up in the same sort of outfit. Which means I have too many items hanging in my closet, which rarely gets used. This I will change in 2018. I admit I like buying new things, no way out of that one. It’s both fun and exciting and something I really enjoy. But I rather put my money on a awesome travel destination or on a really quality item, which I can use for longer than a bottled water, trends that’ll past faster than a cheese in my house (and cheese disappear really fast at mine) and other unnecessary things. I still want to fell smart and fashionable though and I’ll always be in to fashion and beauty, but I would like to buy less and use what I already have more.  I also wanna get invited a party where I can wear a floor-length dress, a la this* and this. (Okay might be a tough one! Someone please invite me! :p) Which granted does require a certain kind of party.

.. Spoil myself with flowers once a month and be more social.
I love LOVE flowers and as I mentioned here and on several occasions I really think they bring life and joy to a room. So to help my self and my boyfriend out, I’ll buy myself a bouquet of flowers once a month. I also wanna go out more with friends, doesn’t need to be anything fancy but just really spending time with them.

.. Stick to all my new goals and new habits!
I want to make this positive changes permanent. This one is sort of self explanatory, so I’ll stop rambling 🙂

But mainly my biggest wish is that all my nearest and dearest, and you guys, are all in good health and happy. If only that thing will go right, then I don’t need anything else 🙂

18 Goals For 2018! #3

8 goals ud 18, skriv 5 i dette post.

You can read about the first 8 here and here.

.. Drink less sugary drinks and more water!
I hate the fact that my skin looks like an teenager who just got in to puberty. I’m 25 years old now and personally think it should have changed by now. But admittedly nothing changes if I don’t change, so instead of drinking sugary drinks (stupid empty calories ) I’ll stick to water which does taste good and on the plus side is free! Also, drinking more water will actually improve my skin a lot more.

.. Spend my money wisely and start saving!
I had a tendency to just buy and buy whenever I saw something I liked, whether it be clothes, bags or coffees. Mainly because I had the idea that saving money would’nt make any sense as you can take your savings with you in your grave. Sinister I know, but I think that’s what I thought or maybe the fact that I was raised with the you have to earn your money to get the stuff you like and unfortunately I like a lot of things haha. On the other hand though, how will I ever go on a nice holiday if I keep on spending my money, or buy a house or anything else. I was stupid and it took me 25 years and a hella lot of talks with my parents, grandparents and boyfriend, to realize. But sometimes I think you just need to get to that conclusion yourself, because that’s when it actually sticks to your brain. Does any of this even make sense? I’m not sure 🙂. Anyhow I started saving up for my NYC trip because that’s expensive. All I had to do, was giving up that cup of coffee that I bought every day and drink the coffee that’s a work, and is free. So far this one is working out quite well and if do go and buy the coffee, I’ll punish my self by removing those £3 from my NYC savings account. Learn the hard way or not at all kinda thing.

..  Be more organised!
I feel like my life sometimes feel chaotic, do you know what I mean? I set up a bunch of plans with friends, plan to go here and there and everywhere, then someone cancels or it just doesn’t seem to happen. That’s why this year I bought a calendar in order to start organizing and making plans that will happen. I know something always comes up but I won’t be able to remember everything unless I write it down.  Such as making to do lists as will definitely help me in my everyday life but also in regards to planing posts on my Instagram and here on the blog – because I’m planing on creating loads more content this year without lowering the quality.  So far I find that this actually helps me a lot more than everything being digital and also a sense of relief when you can tick it off manually. Oh the joy 🙂 So yeah. I want to get more organised overall, like even my wardrobe is like a big chaotic pile which I find doesn’t really help me at all.

.. Change bad habbits!
The biggest thing that keeps me from reaching my goals is the desire to relax and do something fun instead of working hard, and thinking I deserve it. Granted your body and brain needs rest and you should rest but I have to stop feeling self pity making up excuse as of why I need the rest. Once I get used to postponing or coming up with excuses it will get more and more difficult to snap myself out of the vicious circle. So I will need to put in a lot of work to change this bad habit. This is only one of my bad habits, there’s plenty haha.

.. Love myself!
So a lot of my goals actually adds to this, because my goals are set for me to be better. Not just my physical appearance but also my mental state of mind and actually I already feel a lot better by working out, saving money(less stress) and organizing my life and plans. I’ve always had a lot of insecurities on my appearances but also the feeling of never being good enough. I used to be anorexic now I’m battling the opposite and my weight and my looks will probably always be an insecurity, but I’m now 25 years old and decided I don’t wanna live my life being sad about not looking like this or not feeling good enough. I always make up excuses for my self before anyone else can say anything (most people probably wont say anything as well). Excuses like “Sorry for looking shit today, I’m just tired or I’m not feeling well or I’m not wearing make-up” any of those goes to be honest. I don’t believe there’s one person in the world who doesn’t have just one thing they wanna change about them self. But instead of wanting to change things(except for my weight, I do need to lose weight for my health’s sake) I want to turn the negative energy into something else and start loving myself for who I really am, because I am, like you, good enough. And most of all, I am human and human makes mistakes and learn from them.

18 Goals For 2018! #2

Happy Monday lovebugs,

I hope you had a great weekend. This weekend B and I decided to have a date day on Saturday and dedicate Sunday to work. Saturday we went to Namco Funscape to have some fun! I will admit it’s a bit pricey but it is really a fun day out and both of us needed to feel like kids for a day haha! Sunday was spent on planning content for both the blog and my Instagram account and I did manage to sneak in a cheeky gym sessionWhat were you up to? Anything exciting? 🙂

I’ve mentioned again and again, that I never really was a fan of New Years resolutions. Mainly because I don’t get the New Year – New Me – like why do you want a new me ? Why not just improve yourself instead of changing yourself? You’re good enough! Another reason is, that people always say something like “I’ll never again…” or “From now on I’ll always..”. I think you have to be careful with the use of never and ever when it comes to resolutions or goals. Because when will you know you’ve reach your goals, when it includes never and always? However I did decide to make a few goals for my self, you can re-read the 4 goals from last week,  and below is another 4:

Be present!
I started thinking about multitasking. Why is that a good skill to have ? How about being focused on one thing at a time, if I’m with friends I should be with my friends, don’t have that little black box (= my phone) in my hand and scroll down my Instagram feed, because to be honest the only thing I’m missing out on whilst doing that is missing out on quality time with my friends, boyfriend, family who ever I might spend time with. And that’s a real shame. Don’t get me wrong I love my phone and I can spend hours on Instagram, but I wanna focus on that when that’s what I’m focusing on, and focus on being there when I’m with my friends etc, otherwise I’m there but not really. Do you know what I mean?

.. Less mess and stress less!
I really need to de-clutter my room, I have so much mess which I really don’t need. The other day I found a calender from 2012, okay okay I might have saved that because of the Photos of Ian Sommerhalder on it, but still! Come on Sara! What do I need a 2012 calendar for in 2018? I also found my old Volley Ball t-shirt with like 12 tiny holes in it, it’s time to go babe! I have a feeling that tidying up my mess will help my stress levels, because at times those levels are way out of hand and often I just stress about small insignificant things. Regarding the stress I’m also teaching myself that I can’t control everything, even though I like to think so, whether it’s about a goal I’ve set for myself, or something happening with work or/and outside work. Most of the time we really can’t control the situations we are in, so instead I just have to roll with them in the best way possible.

.. Get outside my comfort zone!
Say yes! This year I want to go outside my comfort zone and takes risks. I think it’s extremely important to make those changes in your life because they can potentially lead to real personal growth and who know, maybe you get to know a few things about yourself to eh?

.. Appreciate the little things!
Most of you might already have read my Friday Gratefulness posts, so you already now I’m all about being grateful for not just the big things but also the small things. And yes, you’ll definitely see more of those posts. I believe it so so important to appreciate everything coming your way. I’m forever grateful for my life, my family, my boyfriend, my friends, having a roof over my head… the list goes on. I want this to be a life long goal and not just a thing for 2018, actually all of the things on my list probably are life long goals and I wanna make sure I hit every single goal, but I will not fixate on them, because that isn’t healthy and will not help on staying present and stress less, so although I’ll do anything to hit those goals I don’t wanna fixate on them and I’m not gonna feel crappy if I don’t reach some of them, because it’s all about the little victories after all.

The next 5 goals will be up on Monday the 22nd, so you don’t have to wait much longer. Please feel free to add your goals in the comment section, it’s always nice getting to know you ladies(and gents)!

18 Goals For 2018! #1

Happy New Year lovelies!
This is my first post of the year, can you believe it?

I’m not normally much for New Years and the whole New Years resolutions, And before every one starting to say, what I normally do, “Yuck why make any NY resolution, why not just start when ever you want to?” then know that something happened inside me the last few days of 2017 and I’m more motivated than ever, motivated about progression, being the best version of myself stop having the nagging feeling of feeling stuck! Do you know what I mean?

No progression without goals, so here’s my 18 goals for 2018:

.. Travel more.
I know I know, I say this all the time, but this year I’m serious. The matter of fact 2,5 trips has already been planned. WAUW what’s going on with this organized new me? :p ! First of, in February B and I are going to …. (I won’t tell you just yet, as he won’t know until we’re in the airport. He knows we’re going somewhere though, as it’s his Christmas present from my family and I, he just don’t know where) for 3 nights and I’m so excited!, in March I’m going to Denmark for our family weekend tradition and as of January 1st I started putting my coffee money(the money I normally spend on coffee) aside for my NYC for New Years Eve, I might go alone or someone might join – we’ll see. However I need loads of tips for NYC and more of plans for this trip will come in a post later this year.

.. Have four training sessions a week of at least and 1 hour.
It’s no secret I’ve been struggling to lose weight and I’m still trying to. I think the main reason is finding the motivation, because apparently it wasn’t motivation enough not feeling great in my own body. How the brain works sometimes huh?! But right now I’m more motivated than even, so it’s now I need to do it! It’s going rather well, if I can say so myself. Not making up excuses for not going, actually scratch that, I am making up excuses but I’m not falling for them haha!

.. Make my bed every morning!
 So far, so bad :p

.. Read a book a month.
January’s book is “How To Become An Overnight Success” and I must say Maria Hatzistefanis is killing it writing this book. Also on the list is “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*Ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life“, “Papmaché Reglen“, “#Girlboss“, “The Little Black Book” and “How To Be Parisian: Whereever You Are“.  I’m in need of inspiration for more book, both fictional and non-fiction, so please feel free to comment what you’re reading right now or any recommendations you might have.

What are your New Year goals, do you have any or do you hate those things?
Next 4 resolutions will come in the next post on Monday the 15th! 🙂

10 things I wanna do in May

scr. Pinterest

New month, new opportunities. Here’s some of what I would like to get out of wonderful May:

Read a book. I miss reading, but never found the head space nor time to do so. Any good book recommendations ?

Take my boyfriends on a romantic date and spend good times with friends.

Save up money to go on holiday and lose more weight, so I’ll feel comfortable doing so.

Create even more blog content and publish more outfit post than ever before. I’m gonna challenge myself this month.

Go to free music gigs around London.

Explore new parts of London, new places I never been, like when my bf and I walked along the whole of Regents Canal. Any suggestions ?

Go watch Shit-faced Shakespeare.

Arrange a BBQ gathering in London Fields.

Eat the first Ice Cream of the year.

Go to Gloucester Rolling Cheese Race on the 29th. Because, I mean.. Who wouldn’t want to watch full grown men and women chase a rolling cheese down a hill?! Will I see any of you guys there ? 🙂
