Monday Reminder!

Relateret billede

Just a friendly Monday reminder! We all need a reminder once in a while, so:

You rock girl! Or boy! And you’re amazing just the way you are. We all do it. Tear ourself down. If only I could lose those 5 kg, if I just look like that, if only I had dimples like her. It’s so easy to tear yourself down, so I just want you to know. You are you and nobody can take that away from you. You’re unique and exactly how you should be. Stop comparing. The sooner you do, the sooner you’ll rest in who you are. And you know what? You’re the most beautiful, sweetest and funniest when you are you 🙂

Friday Gratefulness //7

It’s time for the first Friday Gratefulness of the year. You’ve previously heard me talking about May, June, July and all the other summer and spring months like I’m in love with them. I am! Actually I normally chat about how lovely I think the current month is, but that doesn’t go for January. Sorry Jan! But you make my heart heavy and my skin dry and see-through soooo.. I’m not really a fan!

This post however is about positivity and what I’m grateful for, so let’s mention one great thing about January.. Okay not great. Let’s say good then. January is one of the quieter months, forgetting all the goal setting, gym sessions etc. But it is a slow and quiet month where it’s okay to just stay inside and binge-watch Netflix all day and eat chocolate. Friends is on Netflix now! Hallelujah! 🙂 So that’s exactly what I’ve done except for the chocolate, which doesn’t work well with my gym sessions. How do you feel about January?

I’m so grateful for starting a whole new year, with loads of new opportunities that I’m trying to create for myself. I’m so so grateful I have the option to do so. Let’s all make sure we make this the best year yet and every year thereafter! You deserve it.

Re-post // How To Clean Out Your Closet

A new season is right on our door step, so I thought I would remind you of my How To Clean Out Your Closet Guide.

Autumn is coming, yeah, I know very GOT of me 😉 Before I go ahead and shop styles for the new season, I always  try and get a clear view of what I actually have in my closet, what to put away, what to throw and what to give to charity.  So by going through your closet you’ll automatically have a pretty great perspective of what you’ll actually use and what’s not a autumn/winter item.  That’s why a created this guide, to give you guys a little helping hand in the right direction.

So look no further than down below:

About Appreciating The Little Things

We all do it, we all think forward to that holiday, weddings, promotion at work instead of focusing on the little things in life. That’s not what life’s about, is it ? I think we’re often to quick to focusing on the bad things but for me life isn’t always about the bad things or only the big events coming up, because if you spend every day on thinking about that big thing coming up, you don’t truly appreciate what you have. Life is not worth anything, if you don’t live it!

1. Okay this isn’t as creepy as it sounds, I promise 🙂 But I love sitting at a bench in a park, by the river or in a cafe and just watch people as they pass you as they live their lives. How wonderful is it, that we’re all completely different? I think it’s absolutely amazing.  Especially watching  children playing and laughing together, it just reminds me of all the joy in the world.

2. Letting my phone die. In this time of day, we’re so attached to technology. I think it’s a shame. We should spend the time together with friends and love ones instead.

2. Listening to a song you’ve completely forgotten existed and regain your love for it.

3. Morning cuddles with B.  I absolutely love waking up and appreciating another day together. It’s not often we get to wake up together and just enjoy each others company, but I need to go back in bed for 5 minutes before leaving to go to work each morning. I mean for me it’s just a success getting up in the early hours of the morning.

4. Catching up with your best friend, whom you haven’t seen for a while. Or just chatting with your mum over the phone. My mum and I have made a pact to talk once a week, as time flies to quickly when you’re in different countries.

5. A sunny day! It just lightens up your mood, sitting catching the warmth of the sun on your skin. Enjoy nature.

What are your favourite little things in life ?

How About We Wear What We Want

wear what you want

Wear what ever you like, don’t follow the unwritten rules. If you once heard stripes wont work if they’re horizontal or you can’t wear pink because you’re ginger, but you like it. Go for it! If you want to wear a neon bright leggings or a prom dress, do it, if that’s where you feel comfortable and that’s what you like to wear. That’s where you’ll shine!

I think it happens way to often, that the fashion world says that you can’t do that, don’t wear that, this will make you look short etc. Heck I know I might be a little bigger than the average and I shouldn’t wear anything to tight. But you know what? I don’t care. My friend ones said if you got it, flaunt it – that’s what I intend to do and I’ll wear exactly what I want, if I think it suits me I’ll be comfortable = Happy me. I want every single woman and man out there to be able to put on whatever  they feel like and wear it with confidence. Because it makes them feel good. Because when you wear that dress you feel like you can take on the world. Because those flats make you feel a like a million bucks.

I think we way to often measure us self from the eyes of others instead of measuring our happiness and the brightness of our smiles. I think most people generally think that if other people like me, maybe I’ll start feeling more confident. I believe it’s the other way around, if people see a happy smiley girl who is happy being her then the rest will follow – I mean I know it’s difficult and well.. It took me 22 years, but we’ll all get there eventually.

7 Tips To Become Happy

The sun is out and it automatically creates a smile on my face, how about you? It’s funny how a thing like the sun can give you that feeling of joy, don’t you think?
Everyone wants to be happy and enjoy life, but stuff like economy, love life, work and not being satisfied with how you look – and so the list go on. Those things have the tendency to bring you down.  Buuhuu! I believe that the key to happiness starts with in you and your ability to be happy in the now. Don’t dwell on the past or worry about the future – we all do it, but please STOP that right now. The key to happiness is to be happy in the now, while you work and progress on your goals. Be happy now instead of waiting till you have reached your goal. Does that make sense ?

So here’s my 6 tips which you can use today, whilst working on how tDress well!

  1. This is probably the greatest tip, which I always use when I feel down.
Dress well, even for the small things as going to work, grocery shopping etc. If you look good, you’ll feel good and confident.
  2. Be grateful!
No matter how great we think our problems are, I can almost guarantee that there is someone out there with much bigger problems than you. You may have heard the saying “I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.” – We have to be grateful for everything we have in our lives. Practicing daily gratitude is a great way to train your mind to have an attitude of joy for the little things and gratitude. – A technique for doing this is writing down three good things that happened, every night before bed time. Just write down three things that went well during your day and reflect as to why they happened. It is proven that you will be a happier person , by to appreciate the little things in life. – So start on your “three good things” list today.
  3. Be present!
Whatever you do, make sure that both your body and mind are present. Do not eat dinner with your family while you are thinking about work or on your phone. Do not work while you think about what you want to do this weekend. Be present and let your mind focus 100% on what you’re doing. Even if you are doing something as simple as drinking a glass of water – be present. Enjoy the moment and the taste of the water while you enjoy it slowly. Try to find at least one situation every day where you can practice being present.
  4. Steer clear of negative situations and people!
Another reason for negative feelings and unhappiness are certain people or situations. You probably already know who these people are – it is those who only see the negative side of any situation. They are often pessimistic, angry, dramatizing, critical and rarely have anything constructive to say. These people not only create unhappiness for themselves, they often tear others down around him, by spreading this negative ‘poison’.If you want to be happy, you have to avoid these people and situations as much as possible. Unfortunately it is not always as easy as these people often are our friends or family members. So if you can not completely avoid these people, then it is worth to plan and decide how you will handle them in future situations. Most important of all is that you do not allow yourself to be drawn into such a negative pit.
  5. Don’t worry about things you can’t control!
Stop worrying about what other people do or say. Accept things for what they are, whether you think it’s right or wrong. Accept it as a fact. A good way to practice this is through identifying the situation where you feel that you have some resistance and simply accept, the situation for what it is
  6. Random acts of kindness!
A really powerful way to increase your happiness is to focus on helping others by simply performing small random acts of kindness, with no expectation of getting anything back. These could be buying a coffee for a homeless, hold a door for an elderly lady.
Research shows that any random act of kindness increases happiness. So make it a habit to perform at least one small act of kindness every day.
  7. Take responsibly for your own life!
Be honest with yourself, do you accept full responsibility for what happens in your life?
If we want to be happy, then we need to stop blaming others for what happens in our lives. We have to stop seeing ourselves as victims in certain situations and take responsibility. To be happy, we need to take full responsibility for everything that happens in our lives. When you take full responsibility, you take control of your own life and begin to recognize that your thoughts and actions create results for your own life. – not other people or situations.

17 things I want to improve in 2017

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

As I mentioned in a earlier post, I’m not massively thrilled about the saying: “New year, new me”. Why change something that’s not broken and has so many good things? In stead I wanna say “New year, better me” . I’ll make some positive changes and be the best me I can be, because a new me wouldn’t be me, would it? Therefore I thought I would share 17 things I will improve this year, here on the 17th day of 2017. Because if you really wanna do something you have to go for it!

  • Be more confident and believe in yourself.
  • Stop worrying so much. Especially about things that’s out of your control. Be happy. Smile! What’s not to be happy about? 🙂
  • Get up earlier, eat breakfast and make some me time before work.
  • Get fit and eat clean and healthy. Be nicer to my body and don’t poison it with junk all the time. Threat yourself once in a while though.
  • Cook food every day/every other day. Don’t let food go to waste.
  • Go on more holidays and visit home more often. This year I’m planing a trip to Skopelos/Mamma Mia Island, hopefully Iceland and a few weekend breakaways – not sure where to yet, but Rome, Paris and Stockholm is definitely some of the cities on my bucket list.
  • Try something new -in my wardrobe, food wise.
  • Stop drinking alcohol, or at least drink less. Drink more water as an alternative.
  • Stop messing up your room – I hate mess, but somehow that doesn’t show.
  • Stop impulse shopping.
  • Read at least 5 books this year. Not sure which ones, but definitely Papmaché-reglen by Hella Joof. Any suggestions ?
  • Blog more, but write content that makes sense.
  • Step out of your comfort zone and do stuff you never thought you would do. Do something that scares you.
  • Save money, fx. don’t buy coffee at the cafe when you can make it yourself.
  • Walk more. Why not when you can. Stop taking the tube. This one goes perfect with the saving money point as well.
  • Don’t use my phone so much, live in the moment instead of looking at a screen.
  • Learn something new.
